QUANSHENG TG-FR1 — Two Radios, Simple Communication

Choose Your Radio Version
This product is available in two separate editions:
• PMR446 edition: 16 channels.
• FRS edition: 22 channels.
Each set contains two radios of the same selected edition. PMR446 and FRS are separate versions, not switchable modes within one radio.

Common Features and Setup
Getting Started
1. Charge both radios using compatible charging equipment.
2. Power on both radios.
3. Select the same channel and matching CTCSS/DCS settings.
4. Press and hold PTT to talk.
5. Release PTT to listen.
121 CTCSS/DCS Codes
Choose from 38 CTCSS and 83 DCS codes to help filter unwanted calls. Set both radios to the same channel and matching code settings before communicating. These codes do not make conversations private or encrypted.
9-Level VOX
Voice-activated transmission allows you to transmit without holding the PTT button when VOX is enabled and configured appropriately. Choose from nine sensitivity levels. Performance depends on settings and surrounding noise.
7-Level Squelch Adjustment
Adjust the reception threshold through seven squelch levels. Higher settings may suppress unwanted noise but can also block weaker signals.
Type-C Charging
Recharge the radios using compatible Type-C charging equipment. The indicator turns green when charging is complete. Do not transmit while charging, and do not remove the battery during radio-body Type-C charging.
1.3-Inch Display and Physical Controls
Check channel, code, and status indicators on the display. The top knob controls power and volume, while the front buttons provide access to menu settings, channel selection, scanning, and call tones.
Scanning and Call Tones
Channel scanning helps you check activity across channels. Choose from nine call tones to signal another compatible radio using matching settings.
Practical Everyday Features
Keypad lock helps prevent accidental changes. A built-in light and rear belt clip add convenience during everyday use. The radio also includes an SOS button; it does not automatically contact emergency services.
