The SHJ Q7 PoC radio uses compatible mobile networks and Super-PTT for team communication. Before ordering or setting up a group, check where you plan to use it, how the devices will be activated and who will manage the group. This guide explains the single-unit Q7 offer currently available from SHJ Communications.

Start with network coverage—not a distance claim

The Q7 communicates through compatible mobile network coverage and the Super-PTT platform. Availability depends on coverage, platform availability, device activation and correct configuration.

Check compatibility for your destination country or region before ordering. A SIM card being included does not establish coverage at every worksite, on every route or in every building. If your planned location has no compatible network service, this network-based communication method cannot be assumed to work there.

What is included in the single-unit offer?

The current listing confirms one SHJ Q7 radio and a SIM card. It describes lifetime free service for the included SIM and the Super-PTT platform, with no recurring subscription fees for these included services.

This service offer is not a statement of lifetime hardware warranty or guaranteed worldwide coverage. Check the live product page and contact us to confirm service availability for your intended location. Additional radios and smartphones are not included in this single-unit package.

A practical setup checklist

  1. Confirm activation. Check that the device and included SIM service are activated for the intended setup.

  2. Check coverage. Confirm compatible mobile network availability where you intend to communicate.

  3. Sign in to Super-PTT. Register or sign in using the appropriate app and account.

  4. Bind your radio. Use the device QR code or IMEI as described in the model-specific instructions. Treat device identifiers as private setup information rather than posting them publicly.

  5. Create or join a group. Put the intended team members in the appropriate Super-PTT group and complete its configuration.

  6. Test the setup. Check communication with each intended team member before relying on the group for everyday coordination.

These are preparation steps, not a substitute for the supplied device instructions. App screens and setup requirements may differ by version. If a step does not match your device or app, ask for assistance before changing unfamiliar settings.

    Organize a team through Super-PTT

The listing describes creating groups, joining existing groups and managing members through the Super-PTT app. Group owners can manage members and configure their groups.

Decide who will maintain membership and give the group a clear name. Review the configuration when adding a new radio rather than assuming that any network radio will join automatically. Team members need compatible Super-PTT access and appropriate group configuration; a matching brand or similar-looking device is not enough to establish compatibility.

    Voice playback: an app feature

Group voice messages can be reviewed through the Super-PTT app. The Q7 listing identifies this as app voice playback; it does not claim built-in local voice recording on the radio.

If playback is important to your workflow, confirm the current app behavior and account setup. Do not treat an app feature as proof that the handheld stores every conversation locally.
