A digital channel and an analog channel use different settings: selecting the same channel number on two radios does not, by itself, make them communicate.
For analog operation, check the frequency and any CTCSS or DCS settings used by the other radio. For digital operation, confirm the required DMR channel settings, including color code, time slot where applicable, and the contact or talkgroup configuration.
Organize channels into useful zones
The listed model supports 1024 channels and up to 250 zones, with up to 64 channels per zone. Zones let you group programmed channels into smaller sets instead of searching through one long list.
